UserLayerIndex Property (UltraChart)

Identifies Layers by ID string, and arranges them in Z-Order.
Syntax
'Declaration

Public Property UserLayerIndex As String()
public string[] UserLayerIndex {get; set;}
Remarks

This property manages an array of strings where each string uniquely identifies a layer (these string identifies should correspond to the Infragistics.UltraChart.Core.Layers.ILayer.LayerID property of Infragistics.UltraChart.Core.Layers.ILayerILayer). During the processing of layers, the Infragistics.UltraChart.Core.Layers.ILayer.FillSceneGraph is called on each layer in the order it's Layer ID appears in the UserLayerIndex. Layers listed towards the end of this string array are therefore rendered last, and effectively appear in the foreground.

Example
' add the Layer to the Chart Layer Hashtable
UltraChart1.Layer.Add("My Layer", New MyLayer)
' update the UserLayerIndex with the new Layer ID
UltraChart1.UserLayerIndex = New String() {"Default", "My Layer"}
' it is important to invoke InvalidateLayers so that the chart will redraw all layers
UltraChart1.InvalidateLayers()
// add the Layer to the Chart Layer Hashtable
UltraChart1.Layer.Add("My Layer", New MyLayer)
// update the UserLayerIndex with the new Layer ID
UltraChart1.UserLayerIndex = New String() {"Default", "My Layer"}
// it is important to invoke InvalidateLayers so that the chart will redraw all layers
UltraChart1.InvalidateLayers()
