Update grid with new values can be canceled using eventArgs.set_cancel(true). The eventArgs.isUpdate() can be used to check if grid will be updated with new values. The eventArgs.get_keepEditing() can be used to check if exit edit mode failed due to possible validators. The eventArgs.set_keepEditing(true/false) can be used to keep or to end edit mode regardless of validators. The eventArgs.getCells() returns array of RowEditCell objects. Each item in array has methods to get references to GridCell and editor, to get old value and get/set new value.
