IsItemInList() Method

Returns a boolean indicating whether the current value of the Text property is equal to the DisplayText of an item in the Items collection.
Syntax
'Declaration

Public Overloads Function IsItemInList() As Boolean
public bool IsItemInList()

Return Value

A boolean indicating whether the control's Text property is a value in the control's ValueList
Remarks

When the EditorValueSource property is set such that the control's value is determined by the checked item list, this method returns true if one or more items is checked, and returns false otherwise, i.e., this method only returns false when the value is determined by the checked list if the control's value is null.

Example
A LimitToList property, an ItemNotInList event, and overloaded IsItemInList methods provide convenient and flexible validation strategies for the UltraComboEditor.

For an overview of how to handle events in Visual Basic or Visual C#, see Event Handlers in Visual Basic and Visual C#. For specific information and code examples illustrating how to consume events in your application, see Consuming Events in the .NET Framework Developer's Guide.
