CreateConnection Method (WebScheduleDbProvider)

Establishes a database connection from the supplied ConnectionString through the implementation-specific Data Provider.

Parameters

connectionString

A connection string that should be valid for the underlying Data Provider.

Return Value

A general-purpose IDbConnection representing a database connection in a provider-independent manner.

Remarks

Inheritors must override this virtual factory method in order to provide an IDbConnection implementation specific to their underlying Data Provider. CreateConnection will be called by the Connection property when necessary to lazily create the connection.
