IndexOf Method (ChartTextCollection)

Provides the index of a given ChartTextAppearance, if ChartTextCollection contains it.

Parameters

item

A ChartTextAppearance object to search the collection for.

Return Value

The index at which the given ChartTextAppearance was found, or -1 if it was not found.

Remarks

This method returns the index of a matching ChartTextAppearance object reference within the collection. It does not perform a property-by-property comparison, so equivalent ChartTextAppearance objects may not be found.

IndexOf always returns -1 when Contains returns False, however when a valid index is returned it can be used to retrieve the ChartTextAppearance object using the index property of ChartTextCollection.
