SetProperty Method

Sets the value of an arbitrary property.

Parameters

propName

The property name; if the property is nested, the property name may include '.' characters to qualify the property's scope.

newValue

The new value for the property.

Return Value

The former value of the requested property. If the property value is a ValueType, it is boxed. If the property could not be found, null is returned.

Remarks

Updates an untyped property value by name from the chart component through reflection. Changing appearance properties will also refresh the control by repainting/invalidating it.
