You can bind your treemap chart to a TreeMapSeries object. Each node on your treemap chart is represented by a TreeMapDataPoint object. If the TreeMapDataPoint is a leaf node, then you can modify the SizeValue and ColorValue properties of the corresponding TreeMapDataPoint object. If the TreeMapDataPoint is not a leaf, then setting the SizeValue or ColorValue property will not affect it.
The following code example demonstrates how to bind a treemap chart to a TreeMapSeries object.
In Visual Basic:
' Instantiate a TreeMapSeries object Dim myTreeMapSeries As New Infragistics.UltraChart.Resources.Appearance.TreeMapSeries() ' Create a parent node myTreeMapSeries.Points.Add (New Infragistics.UltraChart.Resources.Appearance.TreeMapDataPoint (20, 0, "Item1", False)) ' Add a child node myTreeMapSeries.Points(0).Points.Add (New Infragistics.UltraChart.Resources.Appearance.TreeMapDataPoint (20, 0, "Child1 of Item1", False)) ' Create another parent node myTreeMapSeries.Points.Add (New Infragistics.UltraChart.Resources.Appearance.TreeMapDataPoint (10, 5, "Item2", False)) ' Add a child node myTreeMapSeries.Points(1).Points.Add (New Infragistics.UltraChart.Resources.Appearance.TreeMapDataPoint (10, 5, "Child1 of Item2", False)) ' ' Bind your series to a chart Me.ultraChart1.Series.Add(myTreeMapSeries)
In C#:
// Instantiate a TreeMapSeries object Infragistics.UltraChart.Resources.Appearance.TreeMapSeries myTreeMapSeries = new Infragistics.UltraChart.Resources.Appearance.TreeMapSeries(); // Create a parent node myTreeMapSeries.Points.Add( new Infragistics.UltraChart.Resources.Appearance.TreeMapDataPoint(20, 0, "Item1", false)); // Add a child node myTreeMapSeries.Points[0].Points.Add( new Infragistics.UltraChart.Resources.Appearance.TreeMapDataPoint(20, 0, "Child1 of Item1", false)); // Create another parent node myTreeMapSeries.Points.Add( new Infragistics.UltraChart.Resources.Appearance.TreeMapDataPoint(10, 5, "Item2", false)); // Add a child node myTreeMapSeries.Points[1].Points.Add( new Infragistics.UltraChart.Resources.Appearance.TreeMapDataPoint(10, 5, "Child1 of Item2", false)); // Bind your series to a chart this.ultraChart1.Series.Add(myTreeMapSeries);
