Sample Applications and Scripts Overview

Introduction

The sample test applications and scripts of Test Automation for Micro Focus WPF provide a quick overview of the important user actions that can be automated and reproduced. The tests invoke the corresponding WPF application to perform the automated test.

The tests are installed by default in the Samples folder. Their default location is C:\Users\Public\Documents\InfragisticsTest Automation for Micro Focus WPF UFT 21.1\Samples\CLR4.0\Scripts\.

Each script is set up to automatically load its sample application from the Samples\Bin folder prior to running.

Running the Sample Scripts

Prerequisites

To be able to perform the procedure, you need the following:

.NET and WPF extensions enabled on the Micro Focus Unified Functional Testing software
The version of Test Automation must match the version of Infragistics

Overview

With the Micro Focus Unified Functional Testing software running, open and run the script to open the sample application, and perform a test on the application’s interface.

Steps

To run a script:

Start the Micro Focus Unified Functional Testing application
Run the test.
1. Open the test. In the application, from the File* *menu*, choose* *Open* and then browse the folders structure to open the test’s QuickTest file. The test script loads in the Micro Focus Unified Functional Testing Expert View editor.
2. Start the test. In the test’s interface, click the Run button to start the execution of the automated test. The execution of the automated test begins.

Verify the result. After successful execution of the test, check the result in the UFT Run Results Viewer .

Note: The tests reside in the following folder: C:\Users\Public\Documents\InfragisticsTest Automation for Micro Focus WPF UFT 21.1\Samples\CLR4.0\Scripts\
