GridViewSettings Class

An object that exposes properties for controlling the features supported by the GridView. The GridView object is used by XamDataGrid and XamDataPresenter

Remarks

By manipulating properties on the GridViewSettings object you can control how the GridViewPanelFlat or GridViewPanelNested arranges items.

The properties exposed by the GridViewSettings object are:

• GridViewSettingsBase.AllowLastRecordScrollToTop - Returns/sets a value that determines whether the last record can scroll all the way to the top.
• HeightInInfiniteContainers - Returns/sets a value that is used as default for the height of the control implementing the view when used in a container with infinite height available.
• Orientation - Determines the orientation of records.
• WidthInInfiniteContainers - Returns/sets a value that is used as default for the width of the control implementing the view when used in a container with infinite width available.
• UseNestedPanels - Determines whether a single GridViewPanelFlat is used to arrange records or whether multiple GridViewPanelNested panels are used.

Example

The following example demonstrates how to initialize the ViewSettings of aXamDataGrid or a XamDataPresenter. In this example, the Orientation is set to Vertical and the UseNestedPanels property is set to 'True'.
